Deadline Wallet helps users track returns, warranties, subscriptions, renewals, free trials, receipts, and reminders — so they can act before money is lost. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
When you use Deadline Wallet, we may collect the following information that you provide:
Name
Email address
Password and authentication data
Deadline records you enter, including:
Item names
Merchant or provider names
Purchase dates
Return windows
Warranty dates
Renewal dates
Trial start and end dates
Amounts
Notes
Receipt or proof file names and uploads, if used
Reminder preferences (timing and delivery method per record)
Subscription and billing status
Device and push notification token, if push reminders are enabled
3. Information We Do Not Need or Intentionally Collect
Deadline Wallet does not intentionally require or collect:
Precise location data
Contacts or address book data
Health data
Social security numbers
Bank login credentials
Full credit card numbers entered into the app (payments are handled by our payment provider)
Children's data — Deadline Wallet is not directed at children under 13
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your user account
Save your deadline records and receipt uploads
Send verification emails when you sign up
Send reminder emails and push notifications before your deadlines
Process subscriptions through Stripe or our payment provider
Provide customer support
Secure the app and prevent unauthorized access
Improve the product and fix issues
5. Receipts and Uploaded Files
Receipts and proof files you upload are stored for your own records only.
Uploaded files are associated only with your authenticated account.
Receipt files are not intended to be publicly accessible.
Please do not upload sensitive information that is not necessary for tracking your deadlines (e.g. social security numbers, full credit card numbers).
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with the following service providers as needed to operate the app:
Hosting and database provider — for storing your account and records
Email provider (Resend) — for sending verification and reminder emails
Payment provider (Stripe) — for processing subscriptions and billing
File upload and storage provider — for receipt and proof uploads, if used
Push notification provider (Expo, Apple, Google) — for delivering push reminders, if enabled
Analytics provider — only if actually used, and only for aggregated usage data to improve the product
These providers are used solely to deliver the service and are not authorized to use your data for their own purposes beyond what is necessary.
7. Data Retention
Active records remain in your account until you delete them.
Deleted records are kept in your History for up to 12 months before permanent removal.
Resolved, returned, canceled, or claimed records may be retained for up to 3 years for your reference.
You can permanently delete individual records sooner where that option is available.
Account deletion removes your account data, unless we are legally required or operationally need to retain limited records for a reasonable period.
8. Account Deletion
You can delete your account from the Settings page inside the app, or by visiting the account deletion page on the web at /account/delete. Account deletion permanently removes your account, records, history, receipt metadata, push tokens, reminder logs, verification tokens, and sessions. Some data may be retained temporarily for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or operational reasons as required by law. If you need assistance, contact us at:
We use authentication, access controls, and reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
10. User Responsibility
You are responsible for entering accurate dates, amounts, notes, and deadlines into your records. Deadline Wallet stores and displays the information you provide but does not independently verify its accuracy.
11. Reminder Disclaimer
Reminders sent by Deadline Wallet (email, push notification, or in-app) are helpful tools — not guarantees. Delivery depends on your device, email provider, notification settings, and internet connectivity. You remain responsible for tracking your own deadlines and taking action before return, warranty, subscription, or trial deadlines expire.
