Terms of Use

Last updated: May 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Deadline Wallet, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. Continued use of Deadline Wallet after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. What Deadline Wallet Does

Deadline Wallet is a personal organization tool that helps users track and manage:

  • Product return windows
  • Warranty coverage periods
  • Subscription renewal dates
  • Free trial end dates
  • Receipt and proof-of-purchase records
  • Reminder preferences and notification schedules

The app stores the information you enter and sends reminders based on your configured preferences to help you act before important deadlines expire.

3. User Responsibility for Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into Deadline Wallet, including but not limited to:

  • Purchase dates
  • Return window durations
  • Warranty terms and coverage periods
  • Renewal and billing dates
  • Trial start and end dates
  • Dollar amounts
  • Notes and descriptions
  • Cancellation links and instructions
  • Account emails and provider details

Deadline Wallet stores and displays the information you provide but does not independently verify, validate, or guarantee its accuracy. Incorrect entries may result in missed deadlines or inaccurate reminders.

4. Reminders Are Not Guarantees

Deadline Wallet provides reminders and tracking tools for convenience only. We do not guarantee that reminders will be delivered, received, opened, or acted upon. You remain responsible for monitoring your own deadlines and taking action before return, warranty, subscription, free trial, renewal, or cancellation deadlines.

Reminder delivery depends on factors outside our control, including your email provider, device notification settings, internet connectivity, and third-party service availability. Deadline Wallet is not liable for any losses resulting from missed, delayed, or undelivered reminders.

Reminders are helpful tools, not guarantees. You are responsible for checking your deadlines and taking action on time.

5. No Financial, Legal, or Professional Advice

Deadline Wallet is an organizational and reminder tool only. It does not provide, and should not be relied upon for:

  • Financial advice or investment guidance
  • Legal advice or legal interpretation of warranty or return policies
  • Tax advice or tax preparation assistance
  • Warranty claim guidance or merchant dispute resolution
  • Subscription management recommendations

For financial, legal, tax, or professional advice, please consult a qualified professional.

6. No Guarantee of Savings

While Deadline Wallet may help you organize and remember important deadlines, we do not guarantee that using the app will result in:

  • Successful product returns or refunds
  • Approved warranty claims
  • Subscription cancellations processed by third-party providers
  • Monetary savings of any amount
  • Any specific financial outcome

Whether a return, warranty claim, cancellation, or refund is accepted depends entirely on the policies and decisions of the relevant merchant, provider, or financial institution — not on Deadline Wallet.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of all information, records, notes, and data you enter into Deadline Wallet. By using the service, you grant Deadline Wallet a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising purposes. Your data is used only to deliver the features and reminders you configure.

8. Receipts and Uploads

If you upload receipts, proof-of-purchase documents, or other files to Deadline Wallet:

  • You confirm that you have the right to store and upload those documents.
  • Uploaded files are associated with your authenticated account and are not intended to be publicly accessible.
  • You should avoid uploading sensitive personal information that is not necessary for tracking your deadlines — such as social security numbers, full credit card numbers, or government-issued identification.

Deadline Wallet is not responsible for the content of uploaded files. File storage limits and availability may vary based on your subscription plan.

9. Subscriptions and Billing

Deadline Wallet offers both free and paid subscription plans. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • During beta, Premium billing is managed through the web dashboard using Stripe. Mobile app store billing may be added in a future release.
  • Free trial periods, if offered, will be clearly stated at the time of signup. At the end of a free trial, your subscription will convert to a paid plan unless canceled.
  • Premium features are available only while your subscription is active. If your subscription expires or is canceled, access to premium features will be restricted.
  • Refund policies for subscription payments are governed by the applicable payment provider's terms.

10. Account Suspension or Deletion

Deadline Wallet reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or delete accounts in cases of:

  • Violation of these Terms of Use
  • Fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Attempts to compromise the security or integrity of the service
  • Use of the service for purposes other than personal deadline tracking
  • Any activity that creates a risk of harm to other users or the platform

Where possible, we will provide notice before taking action. However, we reserve the right to act immediately if necessary to protect the service or its users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Deadline Wallet and its operators, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Missed deadlines or expired return, warranty, trial, or subscription windows
  • Lost refunds, denied warranty claims, or subscription charges not canceled in time
  • Reminder failures, delivery delays, or notification errors
  • Service outages, downtime, or technical issues
  • Email delivery failures or spam filtering by third-party email providers
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in user-entered data
  • Actions or decisions made by merchants, providers, or financial institutions
  • Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials

Deadline Wallet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via email or in-app notification.

Your continued use of Deadline Wallet after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
